Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy lost against Hancock back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-16 in the first set.

Kennedy actually scored more points across those three sets (70-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hancock, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will venture away from home to square off against Northside at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hancock, they will face off against Oak Lawn at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
