Soccer Game Preview: Oliver Springs vs. Oneida

Oliver Springs is 0-8 against Oneida since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Bobcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. Oliver Springs has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oliver Springs is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to Northview Academy. While losing is never fun, Oliver Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Northview Academy are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, Oneida made easy work of Harriman on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 victory. Oneida haven't had any issues with Harriman recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Oneida hit Harriman with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaiden Krahn (3), Riley Shoemaker (2), Miles Laxton, and Levi James.

Oliver Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Oneida, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.
