The Hanks Knights will challenge the Chapin Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Hanks beats Chapin with 35 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Knights simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Jefferson 35-0. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hanks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Morales, who rushed for 42 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 227 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Morales a new career-high. Austin Deucher was another key rusher, rushing for 128 yards and one score on only 15 carries.
Hanks' run defense was locked in: Jefferson could only muster 1.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Kristian Barrios for the heroic effort on defense: he. Hanks is a perfect 4-0 when they shut down the run game so well.
Hanks didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Damian Galvan and Demarco Unger. Hanks got some further help from Johnny Swartz: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Chapin got themselves on the board against Jefferson last Friday, but Jefferson never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 70-0 win over the Silver Foxes. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Silver Foxes are ranked 1060th).
Chapin had a senior duo take command as Carlos Garcia gained 241 total yards and four touchdowns and Daveon Singleton rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. Garcia really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Martel, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD on only six carries.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chapin's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Fabian Garcia with two. He has been hot recently, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last four times he's played.
Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hanks, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Hanks has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 181.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Chapin struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 257.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
