Basketball Game Preview: Paetow Panthers vs. Seven Lakes Spartans

Having just played yesterday, the Paetow Panthers will get right back to it and host the Seven Lakes Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Paetow is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of Cinco Ranch by a score of 50-47. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Cougars are ranked 46th).

Meanwhile, Seven Lakes entered their tilt with Jordan on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 60-50.

Seven Lakes pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Paetow, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12.

Paetow barely slipped by Seven Lakes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 80-79. Does Paetow have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seven Lakes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
