Basketball Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Glynn Academy Terrors

Effingham County is 0-10 against Glynn Academy since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Effingham County Rebels will venture away from home to challenge the Glynn Academy Terrors at 6:00 p.m.

Last Saturday, Effingham County came up short against Greenbrier and fell 58-47.

Meanwhile, Glynn Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 victory over the Blue Devils.

Effingham County better keep an eye on Alyssa Martin. She was instrumental in Glynn Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Martin a new career-high in field goal percentage (67%). Kyra L Page was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Glynn Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Glynn Academy's record now sits at 14-10. As for Effingham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Martin, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.
