Volleyball Recap: Legacy's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

There's no place like home for Legacy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans on Monday. The Longhorns not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since November 8, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Legacy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cimarron-Memorial to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-20, 25-17.

Legacy found their leader in sophomore Manaia Williams, who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Williams. Raelene Miguel also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Legacy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Legacy moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coming up, Legacy will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will venture away from home to square off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
