Bryant hadn't done well against Lakeside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rams. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bryant was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-22, 27-25.

Taylor Lease paced Bryant's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lease got some help from Livi Smith and her 21 assists. Lease also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyla Knox, racking up three apiece.

Bryant's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Bryant will square off against Benton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they will challenge Baptist Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
