Captain Shreve has gone a perfect 6-0 against Summerfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Gators will host the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. Captain Shreve is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Captain Shreve came up short against Cedar Creek and fell 7-4.

Captain Shreve saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breanna Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Summerfield's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Claiborne Christian on Friday. The Rebels put the hurt on Saline with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Rebels have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Akeirah Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two triples, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Braylin Brown, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

Summerfield pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Captain Shreve, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Everything went Captain Shreve's way against Summerfield in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Captain Shreve made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
