Preview: Ysleta Indians vs. Andress Eagles
The Ysleta Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Andress Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Ysleta, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-25 loss to Chapin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ysleta in their matchups with Chapin: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Andress had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Parkland 52-10 at home. The victory was just what Andress needed coming off of a 61-30 defeat in their prior match.
Ysleta has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Andress, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-10.
Ysleta took a serious blow against Andress when the teams last played back in November of 2021, falling 70-32. Can Ysleta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
