Soccer Recap: Maine West Takes a Loss

Maine West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Vernon Hills Cougars. If Maine West were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to Vernon Hills when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maine West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Vernon Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Maine West is set to square off against their familiar foe Niles North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vernon Hills will challenge rival Maine East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
