Hardin-Jefferson entered their tilt with Livingston on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 on Tuesday.

Owen Sieve spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has become a key player for Hardin-Jefferson: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten strikeouts, but 10-11-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Kade McReynolds was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryan Samoff, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Hardin-Jefferson's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-12-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Livingston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16-2 record this season.
