Volleyball Recap: OLIVIA KEO's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Willis over Oak Ridge

If Willis was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Conroe on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildkats fell just short of the Oak Ridge War Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Wildkats haven't had much luck with the War Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Willis was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Oak Ridge work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 26-24, 21-25, 15-12.

Several Wildkats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was OLIVIA KEO, who had 31 assists and 14 digs. KEO is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was AUDRA WOOD, who had 22 digs.

Willis' loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Oak Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Willis has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Grand Oaks on the 19th. As for Oak Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Caney Creek on the 19th.
