Basketball Recap: Hollis Comes Up Short

After flying high against Burns Flat-Dill City last Tuesday, Hollis came back down to earth. The Hollis Tigers lost to the Sayre Eagles at home by a 56-42 margin on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Hollis' loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Sayre, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Hollis will head out on the road to face off against Cordell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Sayre has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
