Soccer Recap: Canyon Springs Takes a Loss

Canyon Springs's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Perris Panthers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Panthers are ranked 97th).

Canyon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-3. As for Perris, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon Springs will venture away from home to challenge Hillcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon Springs' last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Perris, they are taking a road trip to face off against Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
