Basketball Game Preview: Middletown Cavaliers vs. St. Elizabeth Vikings

The Middletown Cavaliers will challenge the St. Elizabeth Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Middletown ended up a good deal behind Caesar Rodney and lost 50-36.

Meanwhile, St. Elizabeth waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They beat the Mustangs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 62-16. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Mustangs are ranked 46th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Elizabeth pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points over those games. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
