Volleyball Recap: Living Word Lutheran Find Success

Living Word Lutheran picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Racine Case Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Eden Roethel paced Living Word Lutheran's offense, picking up 12 kills. Roethel got some help from Emree Kellerman and her 21 assists. Finally, Roethel was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elise Webster, who had ten digs. Madisyn Stacy was another key player, getting eight assists and three aces.

Living Word Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Racine Case, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Living Word Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Grayslake Central on the 27th. As for Racine Case, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Sun Prairie West on the 27th.
