Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview's last matchup with Paxton-Buckley-Loda could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. Ridgeview came up short against Paxton-Buckley-Loda, falling 13-3. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ridgeview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Mason, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Mason is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Ridgeview now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Ridgeview will take on Clinton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, they will challenge Maroa-Forsyth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Maroa-Forsyth's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Paxton-Buckley-Loda's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
