Baseball Recap: Council Comes Up Short

The Council Cobras lost 23-1 to the Mountain Mission Challengers on Thursday.

Council saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyln Owens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Katy Wampler was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Council's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Council will square off against Twin Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Mission, they will challenge Phelps at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Challengers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
