Basketball Game Preview: Stephen-Argyle Central Storm vs. Warroad Warriors

The Stephen-Argyle Central Storm will venture away from home to square off against the Warroad Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Stephen-Argyle Central might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-49 to Sacred Heart, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Warroad put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past International Falls 113-22. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Warroad pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.7 points. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Stephen-Argyle Central came up short against Warroad in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 56-52. Can Stephen-Argyle Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
