Softball Recap: Watertown Purple Tigers vs. Cannon County Lions

Watertown can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Cannon County Lions with a sharp 14-4 victory. The win was nothing new for Watertown as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Alyssa Wood, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryann Brindley, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and a double.

On Cannon County's side, Alyssa Calamia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and a double. Another player making a difference was Kurstin Warrick, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Watertown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Cannon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
