Bishop McNamara won the last time they faced Bishop Ireton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 2-1.

Koryn Otey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Bishop McNamara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaslyne Ivey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Ivey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory got Bishop McNamara back to even at 8-8. As for Bishop Ireton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McNamara will venture away from home to face off against The Academy of the Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Ireton, they will face off against St. Mary's Ryken at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
