Basketball Recap: Waynesboro Comes Up Short

Waynesboro lost against Staunton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The matchup between the Waynesboro Little Giants and the Staunton Storm didn't end well, with the Waynesboro Little Giants falling 58-43. The Little Giants just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Waynesboro's record now sits at 2-19. As for Staunton, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Waynesboro and Staunton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Waynesboro (ranked 353rd) will meet Buffalo Gap (ranked 126th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Staunton will take on James River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday down 145 places (272 vs. 127).
