Glenelg is 9-1 against Hammond since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Gladiators will look to defend their home field against the Golden Bears at 4:00 p.m. Glenelg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While Glenelg's victory against Marriotts Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gladiators had just enough and edged out Marriotts Ridge 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gladiators have posted since April 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hammond came up short against Reservoir on Tuesday, falling 15-5. The Golden Bears have struggled against the 'Gators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Glenelg pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Hammond, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Glenelg took their victory against Hammond in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Gladiators repeat their success, or do the Golden Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
