Soccer Recap: Gadsden County Takes a Loss

Gadsden County managed to slip by Marianna the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars lost 4-0 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Gadsden County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Marianna are ranked 212th).

Gadsden County is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1. As for Marianna, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 7-1-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Gadsden County will venture away from home to face off against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marianna, they will head out to take on Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marianna's defense better be ready for this one: Freeport has averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
