Football Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it five. They took a blow against the A.C. Flora Falcons, falling 56-10. The Bruins lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 17-14 score last time.

As for A.C. Flora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Considering they have won five games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Roper Wentzky was his usual excellent self, throwing for 315 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Blake Betette was Wentzky's top target, picking up 141 receiving yards and one score.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-14 victory against Dreher on the 10th. As for A.C. Flora, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-10 win against Richland Northeast on the 10th.
