Soccer Game Preview: Colquitt County vs. Lowndes

Colquitt County is 0-10 against Lowndes since March of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Packers are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 5:30 p.m.

Colquitt County is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Veterans, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Colquitt County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Veterans are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, Lowndes narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Thomas County Central 2-1. The win continues a trend for Lowndes in their matchups with Thomas County Central: they've now won four in a row.

Alicia Vega and Torri Dinkins scored both of Lowndes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Colquitt County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lowndes, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
