Volleyball Recap: Canyon Cougars vs. Medina Valley Panthers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Canyon had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Medina Valley Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on six straight.
One reason for the win was Canyon's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.
Canyon can attribute much of their success to Gabriela Anna Etter, who had 13 digs and three aces.
Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 32-13 record this season. As for Medina Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 24-16.
Canyon will take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Medina Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
