Softball Recap: Ida Comes Up Short

If Ida was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Summerfield on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluestreaks fell 5-2 to the Airport Jets on Saturday. The Bluestreaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2019.

Ida saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adisyn Swiderski, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ida's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Airport, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ida will welcome Dundee at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Airport, they will take on Summerfield at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
