Basketball Game Preview: Beacon Bulldogs vs. Fallsburg Comets

Having just played yesterday, the Beacon Bulldogs will get right back to it and host the Fallsburg Comets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beacon has seven straight wins, Fallsburg has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Beacon is returning to their home court after beating Pine Bush on theirs, despite the fact Pine Bush has dominated at home this season. Beacon secured a 61-57 W over Pine Bush on Wednesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Bushmen are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Fallsburg scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 37-26 to Liberty.

Beacon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Fallsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
