River Falls faced Oconomowoc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Raccoons by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Raccoons: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why River Falls lost, don't look at Olivia Doerre. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and one assist. Doerre has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

River Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Oconomowoc, their win bumped their record up to 19-1.
