Softball Recap: Reynolds Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Reynolds's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Mercer Mustangs on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mercer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reynolds will host Union at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against DuBois Central Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
