Softball Recap: Evansville Bosse Bulldogs vs. Evansville Harrison Warriors
Evansville Bosse had lost 16 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it 17. They lost 21-5 to the Evansville Harrison Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 back in April.
Evansville Bosse saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaili Graupner, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Vivian Knight also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
As for Evansville Harrison, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
On Evansville Harrison's side, Rhyann Guier made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Guier was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
