Softball Recap: Mayo Comes Up Short

Mayo was the 11-1 winner over Owatonna when they last played one another on April 10th, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mayo's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Owatonna, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mayo is set to challenge their familiar foe John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Owatonna will face off against rival Mankato East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
