Coconino had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Salpointe Catholic Lancers 2-1 on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won 25 games in a row.

Kaitlyn Tso spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Coconino's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Destiny Villas, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Coconino's win bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Salpointe Catholic, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-7-1.

As of now, neither Coconino nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
