Basketball Recap: Whitehorse Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Whitehorse had won two straight home games and Kalin Tohonnie did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Whitehorse Raiders claimed a resounding 81-43 win over the Pinnacle Panthers thanks in part to Tohonnie, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Pinnacle lost, don't look at Brody Howell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 boards. With that strong performance, Howell is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game.

The victory got Whitehorse back to even at 7-7. As for Pinnacle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Whitehorse will look to defend their home court on January 24th against Monticello at 7:00 p.m. Whitehorse knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Monticello likes a good challenge. As for Pinnacle, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-49 loss against Green River on the 21st.
