Volleyball Recap: Weed's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Weed was the 2-1 winner over Yreka when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Miners by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Weed might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Yreka: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 17-15.

Having lost for the first time this season, Weed fell to 3-1. As for Yreka, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Weed will square off against Los Molinos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Yreka, they will take on Red Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
