Baseball Recap: St. Bernard's Central Catholic Has No Trouble Against Fitchburg

St. Bernard's Central Catholic lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fitchburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Bernardians put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp 13-3 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bernardians, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic let Angelo Barry and Justin Little run wild. Barry went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Little went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Little is becoming a predictor of St. Bernard's Central Catholic's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ethan Lewis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Fitchburg, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
