Softball Recap: Buena Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mica Mountain, Buena was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Tombstone Yellow Jackets.

Amaya Serrano was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Buena was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tombstone only posted a batting average of .261.

The victory got Buena back to even at 1-1. As for Tombstone, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Buena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-4 win against Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy on the 26th. As for Tombstone, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 26th.
