            Football Recap: University Trojans vs. Portola Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            University dropped to 3-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They had to suffer through  a    32-3 loss at the hands of the Portola Bulldogs. The  game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Dylan Elmer threw for 90 yards  on seven of 16 attempts.   Arvin Jahangiri was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Zion Barreto rushed for 36 yards.
As for Portola, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.6 points on average over those games.
 Portola's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Timothy Grettenberg led the charge by rushing for 86 yards and one  score. Grettenberg is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).  Malachi Moore got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. University will challenge Woodbridge at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Portola, they will square off against Buena Park at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Coyotes' defense has only allowed 15  points per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
