Basketball Game Preview: Appling County Pirates vs. Tattnall County Warriors

Appling County hasn't had much luck against Tattnall County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Appling County Pirates will be playing at home against the Tattnall County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Appling County turned things around against Cook on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 63-52.

Meanwhile, Tattnall County entered their tilt with Pierce County on Friday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They managed a 44-38 win over the Bears. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Bears are ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tattnall County pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Appling County, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-13.
