Volleyball Recap: Davenport Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Davenport can now relate to. They came up short against the George Jenkins Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Broncos have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Leading George Jenkins to victory were Isabella Verschage and Caty Whisenant. Verschage had 11 digs and two aces, while Whisenant had 12 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave Verschage a new career-high. Riley Sullivan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Davenport's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for George Jenkins, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 18-9 record.

Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for George Jenkins, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Winter Haven on the 16th.
