Basketball Recap: Parkland's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

Parkland put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-40 W against the Glenn Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-37 two weeks ago.

Parkland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taniya Eldridge led the charge by putting up 17 points along with seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Eldridge's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Azari Wilkins, who posted 15 points.

Parkland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laneigh Scales, who had four points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks. Scales is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Kaleigh Reid was another key player, earning nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Parkland's record is now 6-0. As for Glenn, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Coming up, Parkland will be playing at home against North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenn, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-40 loss against Ragsdale on the 9th.
