Baseball Recap: Thornwood Comes Up Short

Thornwood's last matchup with Crete-Monee could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Warriors, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Kordae Montgomery was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Thornwood's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Crete-Monee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
