Basketball Recap: Davie Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Davie extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Gracie Shore. The Davie War Eagles walked away with a 66-56 victory over the Mount Tabor Spartans on Friday thanks in part to Shore, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 16 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

Emmie Burris was another key player, putting up six points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Mount Tabor's loss came despite strong showings from Shaymiah Bailey and Amani Morris. Bailey dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 boards, while Morris posted 13 points.

Davie is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Mount Tabor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie will welcome West Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Forsyth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. As for Mount Tabor, they will host Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Tabor is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
