Basketball Game Preview: DePue Little Giants vs. Earlville Red Raiders

DePue is 0-6 against Earlville since December of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The DePue Little Giants will host the Earlville Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

DePue is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Newark, falling 76-33. The Little Giants were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-16.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Earlville). They blew past Leland 72-47 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Earlville's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14. As for DePue, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

DePue was taken down by Earlville 62-32 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point DePue was down 40-0.
