League recap: Duggan breaks off league-leading run for Pawnee

A-6 North (6 Man) recap September 4, 2013

Pawnee's Luke Duggan rumbled for the longest rushing play in A-6 North (6 Man) this season in his game against Briggsdale last week. Duggan ran for 62 yards on the play and finished with 180 on the day as his team lost to the Falcons.

Fans got a thrill when Ross Stump and Mychal Godinez connected against Hi-Plains. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 68 yards.

Stump threw for 151 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Cody Volgamore provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Weldon Valley bested Flagler. He completed 2 passes for 47 yards and also ran for 173 yards.

Will Hutchenson was the best wideout in the league this week as North Park bested Deer Trail. Hutchenson tallied 9 receptions for 158 yards.

Stump put up the best numbers in passing as Prairie fell to the Patriots.

Duggan was the most successful running back in A-6 North (6 Man) this week.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Wildcats' TJ Richard and Hutchenson have proven to be a lethal combination. Richard has thrown for 179 yards this season, while Hutchenson, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 9 catches for 158 yards. Pawnee's Duggan leads the league in rushing yards with 180.

An important game coming up this the league this week will be when North Park takes on Peetz. As it stands, Sam Campfiled's team is in third, while the Bulldogs are in second.

There should be lots of points scored when the Wildcats and Peetz face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, North Park comes in having scored 56 this season, while Scott Sorensen's team has scored 50. The Wildcats scored 40 points last week as they beat the Eagles.

Fleming fell to Liberty/Stratton 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
