Baseball Recap: Macarthur Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

MacArthur waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Eisenhower Eagles with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won 17 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Colten Loehr made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lou Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Josiah Alford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

MacArthur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eisenhower only posted a batting average of .267.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Eisenhower, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 25 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-27-1 record this season.

As of now, neither MacArthur nor Eisenhower have any future games scheduled.
