Baseball Recap: Doss Comes Up Short

Doss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portland Christian Eagles. The Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Christian Prado Rodriguez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Doss' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Portland Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Doss will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Valley at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Portland Christian, they will face off against Kentucky Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
