Recap: Sparks Railroaders vs. North Valleys Panthers
The Sparks Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 65-57 to North Valleys. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Sparks' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar McKenzie, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks. McKenzie hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaoquin Tagulao, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparks will take on Hug at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hug is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for North Valleys, they will be playing at home against Portola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 832nd in California, while North Valleys is ranked 65th in Nevada).
