Football Recap: Pocono Mountain East Skates Past Scranton with Ease

Pocono Mountain East never let their opponents score on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 45-0 victory over the Scranton Knights. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 34-6 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Pocono Mountain East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ceejay Serfass led the charge by throwing for 196 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes. The Cardinals' leading receiver Justin Williams was Serfass' top target yet again, picking up 115 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Pocono Mountain East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

The victory was the third in a row for Pocono Mountain East, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.3 points this season. As for Scranton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pocono Mountain East will face off against Allentown Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Scranton, they will square off against West Scranton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
